SERC Reliability Corporation (SERC) has executed a Delegation Agreement with NERC to be the Regional Entity for the southeastern and central United States, with delegated authority to propose and enforce Reliability Standards pursuant to Section 215 of the Federal Power Act and Part 39 of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations.  SERC’s Regional Entity Documents shown in the Table below constitute the required components of the Delegation Agreement and describe SERC’s activities and procedures for fulfilling its obligations under the Delegation Agreement.

In SERC’s Regional Delegation Agreement approved by FERC on April 19, 2007 and executed by NERC and SERC on May 2, 2007, SERC adopted the NERC CMEP without any deviations. Therefore, the SERC CMEP and the NERC CMEP are one in the same.  A compliance filing to address additional requirements specified by FERC in its order was submitted to FERC in October 2008.

The process available to stakeholders should they disagree with the findings of SERC’s compliance staff.
