by Banna Underland | Mar 23, 2020
SERC will be providing regular updates on Mondays and Thursdays during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We understand the ever evolving reality that we are currently experiencing, and SERC wants to create as much certainty as possible during this COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, we will send regular updates on Monday and Thursday to keep you in the loop with the latest developments.

  • Questions have been received regarding provisions that allow an entity to be released from meeting some of the CIP standards during the outbreak. The Q&A is posted under the Compliance category.
  • The requirement that all SERC staff work remotely has been extended through the end of April. This means that office visitors and travel are also restricted through the end of April.
  • On March 19, 2020, FERC Chairman Neil Chatterjee named Caroline Wozniak as the Commission’s point of contact for industry inquiries related to COVID-19 impacts to their preparations and responses on their FERC-jurisdictional activities.

All previous updates are on the SERC News webpage, with the most recent featured on the homepage.
