Communication of risks and strategies to manage, monitor, and mitigate risk, comprise the bulk of the work performed by the Outreach and Training organization. A key component of this function is Entity Assistance, a team of experienced professionals who engage directly with registered entities–upon their request–to provide guidance on program development, understanding of emerging risks, and best practices to solve current challenges faced by the entity. The Outreach and Training team schedules and develops seminars, webinars, workshops, eLearning modules and other training opportunities that inform and heighten awareness within the SERC region. The Communications team engages a wider audience to share information on emerging risks, best practices, and lessons learned through SERC’s newsletter, website content, and social media presence. This group works to strengthen Registered Entities’ knowledge, awareness, and programs.
